Concetta
K. Antico, The Salon of Art's painting instructor, has taught thousands
of students over the last 16 years in San Diego. Many beginner students
who have never painted before have gone away from Concetta's painting
classes with a new found love for not only painting but the world
around them.
The Salon of Art offers several different levels of painting classes.
For those students who are new to painting, you might want to start
with a Beginning Level Class where you
can learn the basics in an instructor led format. From there, you
can move up to the Intermediate Level
Classes and create a masterpiece of your own choice with your
new found painting skills!
The Salon of
Art also offers two Advanced Level courses. The Alla
Prima Classes will help you build your confidence when painting
as you start to understand spatial relationships, proportions, design,
color theory and values for creating light and shadow. Once you
have these concepts down, you might want to enroll in an En
Plein Air Class where you can take your painting outside! This
is Concetta's specialty and source of most of her beautiful paintings
which can be viewed in her San
Diego Art Gallery. In these classes, you will learn the fundamentals
of composition and special techniques to paint trees, water, rocks
and sky.

MAKE
YOUR MASTERPIECE...

“I
want to let you know how much I appreciated the class last
night. Wow, it was liberating. It broke some huge barriers
I have about painting on my own. Can't thank you enough. I
woke up wanting to paint. Somehow, you strike just the right
balance between guidance, push and freedom. THANK YOU THANK
YOU THANK YOU !”
